pop in steering after idler/pitman arm

After I put on new idler/pitman arms and new upper and lower ball joints, I have a loud pop whenever I make a hard left or right. I also have a shimmy in the steering wheel at 40-60 mph. I recently jacked up the truck and noticed that the pitman and idler arm have gone bad after about 500 miles. I'm not sure if its due to low quality parts (NAPA-Precision Engineered) or because the torsion bars are cranked. Could the poping noise come from either the pitman or idler arm due to over torquing the centerlink nut?
