Question Questions about installation of spindle lift?

My buddy and I are gonna put on a 3 inch spindle lift along with 2 inch rear blocks on my 2001 ext cab 2wd stepside truck tomorrow. i ve been looking at the instuctions and it seems like pretty simple install, is there anything i need to watch out for or do other than what the directions say? Also, will i need to get realigned after a spindle lift install and if so, where is a good place to do it and what will it cost me? Thanks

Jay

You will need an alignment as the geometry of everthing will be different after the lift, plus plan on buying a camber adjustment kit. So you're looking at approx $60 for an alignment, and $40-50 for each camber kit. Camber kits can be purchased at any major parts store, I prefer the NAPA kit myself. Also plan for more time than you would think, the first one will take awhile, the second side should go pretty quick.

know how to adjust the tie rods enough to drive it to the alignment shop. Trust me, having your newly lifted truck towed to the shop because you didnt bother to learn how to adjust the tie rods......is a little embarassing
