Dropping my 1998 4x2 3/4, need your help with cost...
Hey guys, my brother used to post on here a while ago but requested that I help him find some info about dropping his truck. He has a 1998 4x2 on Lightning wheels and he wants to drop the truck 3 inches in the front 4 inches in the back. The kit he will be using is a belltech 3/4 made specifically for the F150. How much is he looking for money wise to get this thing installed? How much is labor going to cost him? Anyone have this kit that can post some pics? How hard was the install? Please let me know, thanks guys.
Im also located in Miami so if there is a place around here that you guys recommend please let me know. Thanks

I'm in the same boat as your brother. And I'm in Miami as well. I have a 2003 Single Cab F-150 I'm looking at lowering. I've also been looking at the same kit. It doesn't look like it's too hard to install, but then again, I could be totally wrong. The only difference between me and your brother, is that I plan on putting on the Harley rims, not the Lightning rims
Oh its easy to install, i did my own install. Hardest part, is the front leaf mount on the frame (called a hanger) is riveted to the frame, well long story short you have to grind the head off of them (dye grinder) then use air tools to beat the edges into center, then push the pin out backwords.
I personally, unless you know someone with air tools/ air chiesel, would pay someone one hour of labor to remove the 8 rivets on your truck, and then replace them with grade 8 bolts.
The rest is very easy, i have made several posts about how to do the front and rear, just click on my name and look at posts ive made. One is just a few minutes ago, other would be something like "whats a fair price to install..."

after looking at the pic more closely, that is a very complete kit, with camber kit, hanger bolts, longer ubolts, shims, bumpstops.... It has literally everything you need to drop your truck
