Rs 5000

I got my rancho rs 5000s today and they are compressed all the way down.Is there supose to be a strap holding them down or do i just pull them out when i install them?

cut the straps off before install, it is just a packing device to keep them from expanding inside the boxes

theirs not a strap does that mean something is wrong with them

If there is no strap on them, could mean that someone else had bought them, tried them, and then took them back to the store

I didnt have a strap holding my RS 5000 's together either, I just pulled the piston out and installed them and I've had no problems either

No straps were on mine either, just stretch em out.

they arnt like regular shock ex. monroe, these are designed different and do not use a strap to hold them down you just pull them out to install. The shock uses a different type os design than conventional shocks. I have the rs5000 and love them.
