3" Lift?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-98...40396418QQrdZ1 Has anyone installed one of these kind of lifts? Are they good and reliable? How much should it cost to get installed and would I be able to run 315/70R17 on this lift?

i wouldn't recommend getting that, they would put your major stress on your cv joints. your best bet is to get a 6" suspensions lift, but i see your looking for an cheap way. so just get a 3" bodylift and crank you t-bars a little. then run 35's.

If i got the PA 3" body lift and cranked up the torsion bars a little bit, would 35's fit though? And if i got 35" wouldnt I have to regear because it would put a lot of stress on the engine? Also I heard that when you get a body lift the bumper covers up half of the radiator and it makes it hard to get air and it can cause it to overheat? Since i already have a new exhaust, when i get a 3" body lift, is it going to leave the exhaust 3" lower than the body?

yes 35's would clear. yes you would need to regear b/c it would put stress on the tranny. i have had my bodylift on for about 6 months and have driven over 5 hours in 98F weather. the truck never over heated. yes the exhaust would be 3" lower, but any exhaust shop can fix that. for the exhaust you can leave it and the rear bumper lower and put a piece of diamond plate between the bed and the bumper. if you have a reciever hitch it will also be lower. i didn't have a hitch but when i bought on i got one thats made for truck with body lifts.

Regearing is always a good idea. What engine/tranny/gears do you have now. If you have a 5.4/auto/3.55 gears, you may get away without regearing if you don't tow/haul but performance will suffer.

I have stock gears, but where do I get the truck regeared? How much does it cost and do I have to buy any other parts? Whats the best? Also where is a cheap place to get the PA body lift? They used to be like $99 now they are like 160, will it hurt the truck if I get the torsion bars raised about an inch or so?

most drivetrain shops or 4x4 shops do ring and pinions (gears) cost varies from regoins from $300-600 per axle, the best gears are presision gears, try doing alittle searching on the web to fing the PA body lift for the cheapest you can, www.4wheelparts.com is a good place to start and they price mach if you find it cheaper somewere else, and it wont hurt to crank up your torsion bars just dont crank them all the way leave 2-3 threads showing on the bolt, get an alighnment after you crank them, good luck

Do you think it would be necessary to regear if I get a 3" body lift and 35" tires? I have a borla cat-back exhaust and I am going to get an AF1 intake and a superchip programmer. Because I am like really tight on money and barely have enough for the lift and tires and I cant afford to regear.

Also has anybody heard about when you get a body lift does it make your fuel cable and your brake cable too short because it lifts it and it doesnt have enough slack?

Those issues are addressed in the kit.

In the kit does it tell you how to overcome them or do you have to go out and buy more parts?

the kit itself adresses them, and it is not a must that you regear, but it will hurt your MPG and performance and maybe cuase alittle wear on the tranny the longer you go without regearing, good luck

Right, the PA kit comes complete with bumper relocation brackets, fuel filler extension, fan shroud relocation brackets, etc. The only thing extra you will want to buy is a set of their Gap Guards to cover the 3 inch gap in the wheelwells the body lift creates.
