i am not familiar with how far of a drop those shackles will go, but if you are just dropping two inches i think youll be alright without the shims. If you get a funky vibration then put em in, Its one of those things that is half and half, some people need em and other's dont...

You may have a shudder on hard take off from a stand still. I used Ground Force as they come with the pinion spacers to start with. If you have the shudder, you can add the spacers later. They are wedges that tilt the pinion back to its original position. The other thing, you may need to take some channel locks or vise grips and turn the seams over where the bed id welded. The longer shakles will sometimes hit the lip hanging down. I really like mine after I put the 2" kit on.

Well i just got done doing my front end yesterday... https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...63#post2010963
And doing the rear saturday,
I think you will be alright some people just put them in when they have it all tore down b.c they dont want to have to do it all over again. I would say if your kit didnt come with it you probably wont need em, but im not an expert at this....

I have the Bell Tech 6400 shackles and have no problems without shims.
