Question Question About Lift

I've Read A Couple Of Comments By Other Members, And They Mentioned That A Lift Will Wear Out Some Parts. Can Anyone Inform Me What To Look Out For. I Have A 6" Fabtech Suspension Lift, With 35" Nitto Grappler Tires. Thanks.

I posted that other post. Granted adding a lift and bigger tires does decrease the longevity of your rig I was asking as to what extent people are seeing.

The Fabtech instructions suggest that you check your ball joints every 3 to 5,000 miles. Anytime you put additional stress on your vehicle, the stock parts are going to wear out faster.

I am curious to see what all is wearing out at 30,000 miles.

if you do alot of offroading you will wear out the idler arm, mine seem to last about 20,000 miles, adding a steering stabilizer added to the logevity of the idler arm, other than that everything seems to be wearing fine on my rig, mine is a 03 tho so it could be diffrent on the newer body style, good luck

My 98' Chevy 2wd had a 6" Fabtech lift and a 3" body lift with 36x14.5x15 Thornbirds on it and I went 75,000 miles only to change the tires 2 times. Never had a ball joint fail or anything feel loose for that much. Not sure about wear on these newer fords, but im gonna find out soon.
