Front end "floating/uneasy"

First off, thank for ALL the great posts on this site. Now, let's see if anyone knows what's up with my 1997 F150 2wd ext. cab. Front end doesn't feel stable and like it's almost floating while driving. You can imagine how uneasy that feels behind the wheel.

I have replaced with new springs and ball joints recently as well as new shocks. What am I missing or forgetting? Thanks in advance for the help as I do appreciate it.

Sway bar link broken?

Big load in the box?

Driving so fast that air is lifting the front end?

the sway bar in the front connects to the lower control arms if you crawl under you will see a bar that runs across the front and it connects to the control arm with bushings and a bolt on each side

By floating do you mean that there is a lack of "feeling" to the steering?

Does the vehicle want to drift from side to side?

Does the steering wheel return to center slowly or weakly after you make a turn?

ALL the above except returning slowly or weakly. I'll watch for that today.

Sounds like something is broken. Or it is seriously out of alignment.
I would check everything in the front end suspension and all the stearing assemblies. Good luck.
