Noisy Power Steering Pump Solution
I just bought a 2000 F-150 XLT with 53,000 miles on it and the truck is great. Only problem is the power steering pump whines like a raped date. My solution...
Removed all the fluid I could from the reservoir with a turkey baster and refilled with Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak fluid. The power steering pump still makes a little noise, but it's 100% quieter than before. Not bad for $8 a bottle.
