Rear Lift ?

Just installed 2" Autospring. Rear is now 5/8" lower than front. I would like rear to be same as front or a tad lower in front. Can you buy blocks to acomplish this? What about adding a fabbed 5/8" plate spacer. What would be required, such as dowels or holes needed? Do you have to replace U-bolts & nuts or just nuts? I have about 1" of thread showing past nut.

If you have a 4x4, it has a 2 inch lift block in the rear. I would remove it and replace it with a 3 inch lift block. Most lift block kits come with new u-bolts.

What kind of truck do you have 4x4 or 4x2? I would also like to raise my rear about 1", so let me know what is best. I have a 4x2.

why would you want the rear lower than the front? That looks stupid IMO.

It's a 4X4. I do not want rear lower, that's why I want to raise it. If I get 3" blocks, will stock shocks be O.K.? I would think so. If I go 1" higher in rear I should be about 1/4" lower in front than back, which is cool w/me & doubt you would notice.

Oh yea, where is best place to get blocks? There is a 4Wheel Parts nearby.

Sorry, my bad. Guess I misunderstood your first post where you said, "I would like rear to be same as front or a tad lower."

Try air bags. They are adjustable and also help when you're loaded. I used them for this application when I got my leveling kit.

just a helper spring

Just add a helper spring it'll do what you need. They are usually put on to counter a trailers weight pulling on your rear leafs.

They just bolt on and you dont have to touch u-bolts, your leaf pack, or blocks, etc... easy, cheap and quick to do.

Is Air Lift a good brand? Any issues w/larger tires?

Don't really know of air lift. I have the Firestone Ride-rite Air springs and they level the truck up or down and can hold up to 100 psi and 5000 lb load limit. I really like them and they look like they are good quality. Also, they were simple to install. I did it myself about 2 hours. Everything is bolt-on. I only have 30 psi in them now and really help how the rear handles on bumps and around corners.

Went to 4 Wheel Parts today. They ordered me a 1" shim kit for $35. They also told me where to go & have 1" longer U-bolts made w/nuts for $50. That sounds pretty reasonable to me. My ride is great, so I guess I'm gonna see how this works. Thanks for all the input!
