Ride Height

My truck will be lifted 3" and maybe 5" after the coil spacer. If i buy an after market shock, do i need a special kind that will work with it being higher?

Im looking at the Rancho's RS5000 Shocks, but I want to make sure they will work with my lift and arent made for stock height.

It depends on how the truck is lifted.

Indeed.... I'd LOVE to see him install the coil spacer on his '01 with torsion bars....

{scraping the egg off my face}

I knew that.... really I did....

Again, it depends on the kit.... if it's just the spindles that are replaced in the kit, then longer shocks aren't necessary since they mount to the lower control arm, and that hasn't been changed. Now, if the kit also drops the LCA, then you need a longer shock.

Right, you don't need longer shocks.
