how to box a frame

does anyone know how to box a frame to a 1997 ford f150? thanks for the help in advance

are you talking about welding the frame so it is not a C channel so it is fully boxed? if you are you weld in a sheet of metal thickness really depends on you, this will strengthen the frame, i have done it to a 48 chevy before that i was helping a freind do a frame up restoration on

Do you mean the kind of things to make it strong, clean and look good, like:

1. using cardboard templates to model and size the metal sections you're going to weld in?
2. how to weld to avoid warping and heat induced twist/stress?
3. what needs to be relocated, like brake and fuel lines?

(etc.)
