Lowering the rear end
yeah...if your 4X2 is anything like the 2005's, than there is no block in the back, so i would just buy some lowering shackles....and the back will come down noticeablly, but if you do have blocks, i would just go ahead and remove those.
The 2wd's do not have blocks in the back, so, as tigga said, go for some shackles.
You can get different lengths, but most are 2 inches, which will mak your truck sit level. You can get a pair of shackles for around 50 bucks to, and they are easy to put on yourself.
If you only go 2 inches, your probably wont NEED some shims, but its not a bad idea to have some. They go between your axle and leafsprings and tilt the axle a little, to get the driveline staightened back up. I think with 2 inch shackles most people go for 2 degree shims.
Good luck.
