Fabtech 6" Lift just installed

Just installed Fabtech 6" lift on my 2005 4x2 XLT Crew.
I thought that the 285/70/R17's would be too small...but I think they came out perfect.

After

Nice to see you upgrade your truck. Actually I went by your before photo to view how my truck would look before I got it leveled. I was wondering how it would look lifted on the 33's. It looks good but maybe a bit small. Let me ask you this does the front end stick up some or is it the level your truck is sitting at? Also could you post more photos.

Looks good man, but you should of thrown some 35's on there with the King kit. But that's just my opinion.

I hear you about the 35's...but those are brand new 285's and they will have to do. Honestly, I can stomache the way it looks for now... ...but probably not too long. Another thing I was concerned about was the fact at how much these trucks tend to lug with the big 35's on them. I drove my buddies the other day and compared to mine, it felt like a had a load of bricks in the back.. Also Silver, the front end does sit up higher than the back...which is how I love it..More pics on the way.

To solve your power problem with big tires, get your rear end re-geared. For 35's, everyone likes 4.56's. Ive got the 4.2L v6 and 35's, but since Ive got 4.56 gears, it really almost gets rid of the power difference. Personally, if I were to do it again, I would go for 4.88's.

Also, getting the lower gears(numerically higher) you will save the life of your tranny. You will also gain MPG because with stock gearing and 35's your motor has to work really hard to move, hence the lack in performance. Get 4.56's or 4.88's and you will higher freeways RPMs by 300 with 4.56's, but your MPG will go up!

does it sit up front higher because of the leveling kit?

when i had the leveling kit on, the front sat hire because i put lowering shackles on in the back. When i put the lift kit on, i took of the spacers, and put just the lift kit on with rear blocks and the front sits the way it does in the pics.
