Questions about fabtec

I am looking at lifting my 05 F-150 Lariat. I was wondering who to use? I am looking at a 6in lift. I have read and seen a lot of Fab Tecs on the road. How are they? How much will it change the ride and fuel milege? I am not looking to do any off roading so its just for the looks. Is Fab tec the best choice?

Welcome to the site. According to the reviews from owners, Fabtech is one of the best lifts available for the new F-150's. Check out the 04-06 Forum also. A lot of the owners with new F-150's tend to hang out over there all the time.

The Fabtech 6" suspension lift for the 2004 F150's is just awesome, on and off road. The thing I really like about it is that it does not use a spacer in front like all of the other lifts, which makes it look and perform alot better. It does stiffen the ride a bit. Here are a few pics of my truck with the lift.

Hope this helps you out.

I have the 6" FAbtech under my 05. It is great. Yes i lost some mileage, but most is due to the 35"s I am running. I did it back up with a gear change, 3' catback muffler, New Airaid system and Troyer performance tune The 6" rides great. It is smooth and doesn't cause road vibs. The only draw back is ,I lost some steering radius with it. You can see my truck at the photo attached to me thread
