Torsion Bars

Honestly how safe is to turn up the torsion bars? I have an 02 4x4. What will it affect and how is it accomplishing lifting the front end? What is the max I can raise the front end? Is there anything which needs to be done after?
Thanks

it is safe to crank them up i have had mine turned in almost all the way 4 threads showing since my 03 was new and no problems, you will just need to get and alianment after you crank them, it will raise the front about two inches maybe alittle less on a super crew due to the shorter torsion bars, good luck

Its perfectly safe. The only main issue you will run into is that it stiffens the suspension some so for some people its not as comfortable.

I did mine on a 98 250LD it looked cool with my 33BFG's on it but it torched my factory shocks pretty quick and it road stiffer. It also put my cv joints at a hell of an angle. My friend had the same exact setup and we both had problems with all the boots ripping every 20,000 miles or so. But the shaft themselves never went bad. Also I notice even worse braking than before. BUT IT LOOKED GREAT!!!!!!
