You using any PB Blaster or penetrating oil?

Have you tried tightening the ball joint / pitman arm separator tool and then hitting the joint with a hammer? Try Autozone or Advanced Auto (Checker/etc) for a rental tool - just keep in mind if you break it you buy it.

They are a mother to pull. I soaked it with penatrating oil overnight and also shock loaded it too. But it finally came off. Once off I tried to clean up the splinds for ease of install. I had to remove three of the steering gear box bolts (lower end) when reinstalling to give a easier angle. You may find it helps too.
Oh be sure your steering wheel does not move once you've got the pitman arm off. I learned this the hard way! :o

Good luck!
