Question The best Lift Kit for 2005 2wD?

Hi i'm pretty new, and am looking to purchase a lift kit. I wanted to know which is the best lift kit that money can buy. I would like to keep the lift at 6inches or under, and retain the stock ride. I dont want the truck to drive stiff because i use it for long distance travel, and i dont want too much of a lift so i can help mpg and i dont want the truck to pretend to be something its not. I dont plan on making a des. runner either heh.

I'd go with the 6 inch Fabtech lift. The 6 inch Pro COmp lift is good also, but I think the Fabtech is a little better quality.

Is there anything out there thats less than 6 inches, maybe a 4 inch lift? I wanted at least a 3 inch kit, and i think the 6 inch fabtech is almost pushing it for me, but if thats the best choice ill get it. Also what shocks should i use? I've seen these MX' ones that are supposed to be good. Any suggestions?

The Fabtech lift comes with replacement coilover shocks. They give you the option of upgrading to their adjustable Dirt Logic coilovers which are a heavier duty shock. The Pro Comp lift comes with a 6 inch spacer so you can use your stock coilover shocks up front. They also give you the option of upgrading to their MX6 coilover shock.

RCD makes a great lift, but I don't think they make one for the 04-05 F-150's. Also, Rancho makes a 4 inch lift for the 04-05 4x4's. Since the suspension is the same, I bet the kit would work on a 4x2. You could contact Rancho and ask.
