wandell got a ?

hey i hear your the pro at lifting so i was just curious... im debating in lifting my 2000 f-1 super cab 4x4 with a body lift. is this a pretty straight forward thing? i tried calling the PA customer line but their a bunch of ya hoos so i figured i just ask if u knew. im planning the 3inch so whats all included? on the fords is there steering ext. , brake line mods, bumber brackets? what all do u have to loosen to get to the body mounts to the frame?? i would just have a couple jacks, some 4x4 wood and a buddy so is this do able?

Everything you need is included in the PA kit including front and rear bumper relocation brackets, steering extension, fuel filler extension etc. The kit is pretty straight forward. The biggest pain on Fords is that they thread the bolts down through the body from the inside of the cab into a round bushing/nut. You will have to have someone hold these bushings/nuts with a pipe wrench or large pair of channel locks to keep them from spinning. To make this worse, Ford uses a ton of Loctite on these threads. The only special tool you need is a torx socket to fit the bed bolts. Just read and re-read the instructions and start soaking the body mounts in penetrating oil now.
