75 F-100

I also own a 1975 f-100 2WD. There is an arm that goes from the front suspension back toward the cab and connects to the frame. The bushing at the frame is gone and I need to replace it. My question is, what is that arm called and how do I go about removing it to replace the bushing. I have an idea but just thought I'd ask. By the way, it is the same piece that the pre 97 f-150's have if that helps any. Thanks for the help.

you have to 2 arms on the f-100, left and right, I think is called an a arm, or raidus arm, not 100 % sure, I had a a 77 f-100 302 4sp, no power brakes/stearing, one important part of the suspension on this good oldies was the king pins... I would guss you have to pull the spindel ( cailper-rotor), remove the front spring, shock disconect the tie rod, than remove the arm from the front frame, It's been over 30 years since I had that truck, and it was the best-cheapest-longest lasting truck I ever had, Just got tired of replacing the king pins to keep it insurable.....hope I helped out.

cyclone vampire is right it's called a radius arm and the bushings are really simple to swap out, all you have to do is cut or grind off the rivits and remove the bracket from the frame, then reattach it using good quality grade 8 bolts.... be aware thou that the rivits might be a bear to drive out of the frame but thats thats hardest part
