PA 3" body lift?

I'm gonna put a 3" body lift on my 93 2wd and was wondering if I could put it on by myself? I dont really have much experience with this kinda thing. How long would it take me? If I did have my mechanic put it on about how much would it cost me for labor?

Thanks guys!

Mine took me an entire weekend to put on, basically working by myself. I have seen prices from $100 to $800 for a body lift installation. It's not hard, but it is time consuming and tedious.

I just bought my kit this week and put it on. The bumpers need some final adjustment and the gap guards need to go on, but other than that, it's done.

I have a RhinoLiner and that had to be cut out around the bed bolts and that took a lot of time to get it out, and then get the bed bolts loose.

It was quite a project. I put the truck in my garage on Monday evening and started removing parts to prepare for the lift. On Friday evening a friend and I got the lift installed. Two of us worked until lunch on Saturday re-assembling parts. I finished up around seven in the evening, having started at 7:30 yesterday morning.

I'm very happy that I did it myself, but 4 years ago when I bought my truck, it would have been too much of a project. I've probably got about 40 hours in the whole project. 10 in accessing and removing bed bolts, 13 prep work removing parts, 7 in the lift, and another 10 in re-installing.

Now that it's done, I'm very happy that I did it myself. I went very slowly and checked everything as I went. The kit from PA is very well assembled. If mechanical work is not something you do frequently, I would recommended either having it done by a shop or finding a mechanically knowledgable friend, and bribe him!

I'm going to enjoy it for a long time, but today I have a date with a Lazy-Boy.
