I am looking to buy a drop for my 02 f150, but am looking for the cheap way out. If I buy just front spindles that give me a 2" drop, and 4" rear leafsprings, will those alone give me a 2/4 drop, or do I need all the components?

is your truck a lightning?? you can buy 4 inch drop shackles for the rear from jlpracing.com and 2 inch control arms from sporttruckdirect.com... shorter shocks, or some shock extenders from so-cal speed shop might be in order too...

i have a 3/5 drop, with 2 inch shackles on the rear, removed 2 leafs in the rear, 1 inch coil springs, and 2 inch control arms in the front.. nice stance...

Yes, that truck is my truck. Theres a pic of me in the gallery. Anyway, would all that be more expenisve than a kit? And just front coil springs and rear chackles aren't enough?
