Front Shocks??

I'm doing my best to replace my front shocks but the bolts are real rusty. I haven't got a torch so does anyone have any ideas on how I can get them out before I pull my hair out?

Do you mean the stud on the top or the bolts on the lower A-arm? For the stud use vice grips on the stud and an open wrench on the nut. On the lower bolts use brute force. Losk the bolt with a wrench and use a johnson bar on the nut. If you don't have one use two wrenches locked together. See picture.

Thanks got it done. Nothing about 2ft of pipe wouldn't cure. It was the lower bolt. Put in new bolts with anti-seize just in case I have to do it again.

I have to say, if it wasn't for members like you, this site won't be as popular or helpful. Gotta love those backyard solutions to everyday problems. Great pics.
