add-a-leaf

Does anybody have pictures of their truck with an add-a-leaf added? is the lift what the company specifies it as because my friend added one but it gave a slightly less lift than advertised, thanks

stiffer ride?

when you put your add-a-leaf on, did your truck ride stiff. did you feel a difference, or was it pretty much the same.

i've heard pros and cons.

I got 2.5 inches for lift from the ProComp kit. The ride is more stiff, but IMO not too bad. I would definitly recommend getting new shocks. I got Rancho RSX9000s. The stock shocks are terrible.

I didnt really notice that much of a difference. I think their a good way to raise the rear, without having to mess around with bigger blocks.

OK guys, I need new shocks and for verification, if I want to raise the rear a little for bigger tires, all I need to do is:

-install an add a leaf to the rear
-crank the front torsion bars up
-install the Rancho 9000 shocks

Can I use the shocks that are meant for my truck, or will the add a leaf result in needing to order a different or longer shock?

With this combo, the ride is good or smooth, not too rough, or is it fairly adjustable because of the shocks?

TIA

the front shocks should be fine since you are not going to change the travel distance by cranking the torsion bars the rear is a difrent story, you will be changing the travel by about 2" this could cause the shock to extend all the way before your suspension is at full drop this would only happen at extreem articulation or if you lift the rear of the truck till the tires come of the ground, if you can order the shocks 2" longer than what is recomended for your truck before you put on the add a leafs, good luck if you are in doupt call the man. of the shocks you chose and tell them about the add a leafs and find out if there will be any problems
