Rancho Shocks for Supercrew

I know this subjest has been beat to death, but I am going to take a shot. I have a 2002 Supercrew FX4 that I broke a shock onthe other day. I am looking to replace all 4. I am not an offroader at all, usually driving on both interstate and country road. Should I get the RSX for $155 or should I get the RD9000 for $224 (is it worth the money if I am not offroading at all)? Thanks for the help

Michael

If you have the stock"Rancho's", they ride like a floor jack (I'm sure you know that). But for the amount of "offroading" that you described, I would go with a Monroe reflex or sensi-trac. Rancho's are nice, but they ride stiffer on the roads and were built for off roading. The only reason I would recommend a Rancho (from your description) would be the 9000's if you tow a lot. The adjustable shock rate would be nice on the rear-end when towing. Else, save your money and get a set of Monroe's.

The standard model should do fine. I believe the model is 5100.

Well, I say try the Edelbrock IAS.

I figured I'd mention these just to mess with your mind even more seeing as how Wandell Psyched you out with the shout out for Bilsteins

Confused yet?

RS9000x, Bilstien, or Edlebrock IAS are all top stuff. I prefer the adjustability of the RS9000x, stiffen up the back for towing or a heavy payload, softer for highway use.

I did the Sensi-Tracs for $200 at Sears. I also don't do much off roading. Ride is nice and I have a lifetime warranty. It was a big improvement!
