i was planning on getting 2inch drop shackles for a 99 ext. cab. and i was wondering what you guys think about this and do i have to get new shocks or is the ride bumpy. and what do i need besides the shackles or is that it?

Lowering shackles would be a great idea. You should not need anything else to complete the job and they shouldn't affect your ride.
