A few people have fit 285/75-16's (33x11.50) on stock 4x2's by using the stock wheels, but it is an extremely tight fit. Unless you plan on lifting the truck, I would stick with a 265/75-16 (32x10.50).

Nope, neither one...without any type of lift, youre gonna get 31's max, unless you use torsion keys, then you could prolly fit 33's with a little rub..

I have a 1999 f150 Ext Cab 4.6L 2WD and im about to take my 31's off, but im gettin a 7.5" lift and 35's put on.

1ba- i dont know what was wrong with your truck but mines running 32s totaly stock, read wandells post. 2wd also dont have torsion bars so no new torsion keys. now even if you were talking about a 4x4 and torsion keys you can fit 33s on a stock 4x4. id get more info about your truck before you go buy a big lift and tires

now that made me laugh

and just for the heck of saying it... on the 97-03 model 4x4's you can clear 35's with the stock wheels and a little trimming!

he can fit a 32" tire as long as its 11.5" wide no wider!

my brothers got a 97 with 32x11.50's (2WD), he can clear those tires...i on the other hand tried to get the same tires when i got my truck 2 years ago..i couldnt clear the tires cuz they rubbed..yes, they rubbed...i didnt want to trim anything, so the dealer put 31" destination A/T's on it, they cleared fine...i have another friend at my school that had the same problem, he got new springs...the tires fit...it just means my suspensions sagged...

a lot of the 99's have a tendency to do that..like i said, my brothers truck is a 97 and he cleared 32" MESA C/T's fine

im guessin i was thinkin 4WD for some reason when i typed the torsion bar statement...

i also wasnt sayin no to wandells post, i was sayin no to the original posters question about 33's or 35's, cuz if you look...hes got a 99 to, just like mine...and you cant fit 33's or 35's stock...thts when i started thinkin how you could if it was 4WD

4.2trimble- one of my best friends has an 02' 4X4, hes got a 4 inch suspension lift and just clears 35's enough not to rub...not sayin it cant be done, i myself dont kno how to do it

did i miss anybody?
