Pro Comp Suspension Lift

Anyone have experience or knowledge of the Pro Comp K4050MX Lift for 97-03 Ford F150 4x4.

http://www.explorerprocomp.com/produ...p?CAT_ID=K4137

Some of the questions I have are ease of installation, durability, and kit completeness. Why kit completeness? Well on 4wheelparts.com there is technical tab that refers to the following:

NOTE:97-03 F150 4WD models equipped with a 4R70W transmission require
P/N 52097 or kit reference # K4050 97-99 models with a 5.4 L. Engine
and E40D transmission (large rectangular pan approximately 13"X26")
require P/N 52098 or kit reference # K4051. The 4R70W transmission can
be identified by a 13"X13" pan and the E40D transmission has a 13"X26"
pan. Will not fit vehicles equipped with standard transmission.

Anyone have a clue of what they are referencing here...?

Thanks for the info and assistance

Well i cant give you an answer yo you question but i can highley reccomend you to check out the fabtech lift, unless you dont want a full 6" lift. The fabtech lift has taking everything i have thrown at it, it was a complete kit, and no problems on the install. I highly recommend the fabtech kit.

Thanks for the feedback.

I was looking at the ProComp lift cause it gives me more room to play with in regards to the state of Virginia's bumper law which basically says my front bumper can't be higher than 29" and rear 30". Putting a 6" FabTech on my current wheel and tire combo would take me to 29" on the front. Of course changing out the stock tire and rim combo will take me over the limit. Using the ProComp lift will put me less over the limit.

I am leaning back toward the 6" FabTech lift, but before I commit I am going to call ProComp for clarity.

The way i see it is if the law is strict there and you are that close to the limit then you are gunna get pulled over. Once they measure and see that you are over the limit then you are caught whether it is 2" over or 4". I say go fabtech, get the best product, and pay the fines.
