torsion bar help

I want to turn my torsion bars up a little bit just to get a little height out of the front end. I already got leveling blocks and want it to sit higher. How much lift can you get from them saftley and also how hard is it to do it. Also if it matters i have a 97 F250 light duty, same as 150 and it is 4x4. thanks steves88lx@yahoo.com

I got about 2.5 inches out of my torsion bars. That was 25,000 miles or so ago and have had no problems. The job is quite simple. Put jack stands on the frame to let the tires hang. Crank the bolts and measure the ride height with truck off the jack stands to make it even. Make sure you get an alignment when you are finished.

I have a different problem, I actually lowered the front end on my F150 4X4. What happens if I don't get it aligned? Is the worst thing tire wear?

Tire wear will be greatly affected.

By adjusting the ride height with the torsion bars you change the angle of the wheel. (i.e. Camber)
