Question Front end creaking after speed bumps

2002 F150 FX4 4x4 Supercab. After I cross a speed bump the front end creaks and squeaks when it springs back up. It 31000 miles and has been serviced on a normal basis. Any suggestions?

Check your control arm bushings. They are a common source for the creaking noise when hitting speed bumps.

I had the same problem. Dealer greased the sway bar rubber bushings. Problem disappeared. For good measure, dealer ordered new bushings, then installed the new sway bar bushings. That was about 15K miles ago, I haven't heard the squeack not once.

I also have this problem on my '01. I took it to the dealer and they checked out the front end, but found nothing wrong. They sprayed some silicon grease on the swaybar bushings just in case, but I still hear the creaking noise. To those of you who have had this problem, does it only occur when driving over speed bumps? This is the case with mine.
