I have purchased a coil spring spacer set for auto spring corp for my 2004 reg cab 4x4. Question I have, Is there an easy way to knock out ball joint from spindle without pinching the balljoint boot? I have a ball joint separator tool, it just seem that if you use this then the boot for ball joint will be torn or pinched. Can anyone help me before I do this installation. and are ther anyone out ther that have used this spacer kit and what are your thoughts.

 

I've read post by other members that tore the boot using a seperating tool. Most say to loosen the nut and what it with a hammer. I assume they laid something like a piece of wood or aluminum on top of the nut to keep from boogering it up.
