I'm taking in my 2003 F150 in for service next week, and I noticed that the passenger side rides a little lower in the front than on the driver's side. I measured the distance from my garage floor to the fender flare, and the passenger side sits 3/4 inch lower than the driver's side. Did Ford do this intentionally to compensate for driver's weight, or should I have Ford adjust this?
You can easily adjust this yourself. First, check the air pressure in all 4 tires. Now, get the truck up on jackstands and tighten the passenger side torsion bar bolt a 1/4 turn. Let it back down, bounce it a few times and remeasure both sides. Repeat as necessary. You may want to disconnect the shocks just in case one of them is causing a problem.

Thanks for the info! I didn't even think about the shock going bad. They are gas pressurized, so they lift the vehicle slightly. If it's dead (40 below for a couple of weeks straight might do it) it would make the front sag a little on that side. I'll check that first before I tweak the torsion bar. Thanks again SL!
