Popping noise in Front end?

I have a 2002 F250 SD 4x4 with 42k miles I have recently been hearing a popping noise coming from the front end when making a hard turn. Any suggestions? Is this common for this truck with this mileage? Thanks for any help.

sounds like bearings in your front axles are bad, or could be ball joints.

I would tend to say it's your ball joints.

Could be a CV joint. Check to see if there are any torn/split boots under there.

I had a popping in my front end and it ended up being the lower ball joints. The shop I took it to,said this was not uncommon for Ford trucks. They also said the upper ball joints, usually last a long time.Good Luck.

have you replaced your shocks lately? If you have sometimes the lower control arm can get out of shape and not tighten around the lower shock mount. It will talke a 1/2" drive impact to tighten enough. If not the shocks them I agree with the ball joints, or Pitman Arm...
