shackle drop and vibration

does anybody know if dropping a 97 f150 2wd 1.5" in the rear would require pinion shims to keep vibration from happening. If so then what degree shims would I need. And what brand shackles would you recommend. Any help would be great.

Most people say for a slight shackle only rear drop in the back you don't need shims for the rear end.

You should be fine without shims.

My suggestion is to get the shackle and if you have a vibe then buy the pinion shims. I put a 2" shackle on my 01 Supercrew and I had a vibration. The shims fixed it. I have heard of people that have used a 2" shackle and did not have any vibes.
