Steering Box Repairs

I have a 1998 F-150, and I just purchased a lower seal kit to fix a severe leaking problem in the steering box. I'm looking for a parts breakdown of the gearbox so I can see what order these seals and washers go into the unit. I'm pretty sure that once I remove the retaining clip and blow out the old seal, I won't have any idea what order the parts go back in. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Jeff

the ford service manuel states seal first then spacer and snap ring followed by dust seal. The last ime I repaced seals in older trucks the seal kit from ford had different parts in it than what were origilally in the steering box to take care of shaft and housing bore wear. If this is the case they should give you a special ins. sheet. be shure to lube the parts wit grease for the install to protect the seal lips.

Thanks for the reply...this will be a big help. By the way, I see you're from Charleroi. I'm right in your back yard in Bethel Park!

Thanks again
