Replace front suspension?

I recently bought a 1995 F150 4x4 with 120K miles. The truck drives OK, but there is a considerable amount of play in the wheel. I suspect the front-end is whooped and needs replacing. I don't intend on doing a lift or off-roading. This will be a second vehicle, for Home depot trips, pulling a small trailer, and maybe someday a small plow for my driveway. I don't need anything super-heavy duty.
1.Does a rebuild "kit" exist for commonly worn items, or do I need to buy them individually?
2.Can anyone reccomend a supplier?
3.Are there any common items that are known issues on '95 F150s I should be looking for?

I was thinking ball joints, tie-rods, drop-links?

Thanks,
Mike

Welcome. I don't know of a front end rebuild kit that would contain all items necessary. I think everything is purchased individually. The items you listed are the main ones to be concerned with. I like Moog brand Problem Solver front end parts from Napa or CarQuest. They usually correct any inherent flaws in the factory designed parts.

doing quite the same...

well i have a 94 f-150 xl with only 87,000 miles..though it was a work truck in ketchican AK..so it got a little beat up...what i just recently bought were L&R upper and lower ball joints..L&R outer tie rod ends..the left inner tie rod.(you may want to replace the drag/center link...and axle U joints(3)..i have a horrible clunk when engaging 4 wheel drive(axle u joints), and a loud clunk while turning or going over bumps(ball joint)..all of that effects my steering, and 4wd performance..if i were you i would put or get that truck on a lift, phisically check ball joints, and steering linkage..and axle u joints are quite obvious..look at them and move front drive line back and forth..youll see...and if you are planning on putting a plow, i would look into either heavier duty coil springs and/or air helper spring for the front...i think everyone can speak for me when i say that fords TTB dana 44 front ind. suspension..isnt the best on long lasting parts...but take care of it..and you should be good..
