Budget boosts???

New wrench head around here.

I have a question about doing some minor lifting on my truck...
I dont want to put a BL kit on there, but I do want a little lift out of the suspension. What are my options?
Cranking torsion bars?? Need all the info ya'll got on that one!
Do they make spacers for the front for these things???
Will do Add-a-leaf on the rear. Who all makes them??? Full length, shorties, what???

I have a Jeep and have done alot of lifting and fab work on it, and now I am moving over to the "Mule"(truck) which is the one that pulls the Jeep(trailer queen) around.

This is a neat site and I need ya'lls help on this please, because as of now I am only good with leaf sprung, solid axle suspension!
IFS make me nervous...

As for lifting the front your options are cranking up the torsion bars or a full suspension lift. You can usually get 1 to 2 inches of lift by cranking up the torsion bars. Don't forget to get the front end aligned afterwards.

Any side effects to cranking the torsion bars???

Is there a proper way other than taking the weight off the front end and cranking down on them?

Is there a limit???

Add-a-leafs, are they shorties, or full length???

Cranking up the torsion bars will make the initial portion of your suspension travel stiffer. Some people love the ride, some hate it. I suggest trying for yourself. The add-a-leaves will also stiffen the ride.

Long leafs give a better ride than the short one's...

Don't wont blocks because I could use the extra hauling capacity.

Still not sure about cranking the torsion bars... Waiting for someone to give some insight on my questions above.

As far as i know you can bottom out both bolts with no problems other than the ride quality! And i guess i'd consider proper to be, remove weight, tighten bolts, remove jack, check height left and right, adjust as nessecary, Enjoy!
