is two 2in blocks OK?

After my 3.5in spindle in front and 2in block in back i have been pretty satisfied the way my truck looks.

I'm going to stop the rubbing in the front that occurs on bumps in turns with another 1.5in daystar coil spring spacer.

To bring the back of the truck up im thinking of using another set of 2in blocks that i have laying around my garage..

Do you guys think its ok just to get longer u bolts and put the two together.. I mean the blocks have those holes and tips on them that lock them together!
I know it would be a 1/2 higher in the rear than before but i think it wont look that different, also a truck that has a higher back looks a little more mean, at least sometimes, and on some trucks.

What do you guys think?

Also anybody have any drawbacks to the daystar coil spring spacers?

Exclamation

Stacking 2 blocks on each other is a dangerous setup. The pins maybe there but the torque your truck puts out can seperate them. Safest way to go is to get a 4 in block or an add-a-leaf w/ a 2 in block. You can find a 4 in block, just keep in mind that it will increase spring wrap.

I agree, a single 4 inch lift block would be better. However almost all lift kits for 4x4 F-150 come with a lift block to be used with the factory 2 inch block.

a add-a-leaf sounds good!

I hhave looked into add-a-leafs before but didnt have much luck finding it for my 01 2wd.. Is there a certain site i should look at, or am i just not seeing it?

I think i have seen some add-a-leafs that said they would lift your truck 1 1/2in, that would be fine too.

Any problems with add-a-leafs, or with installation. I did the spindles and blocks myself, do you think ill have a problem with them?

Do they need to know there is already a two in block under their so you can get longer U bolts, Or are longer U bolts even required or used?

I checked at summit, they dont have add-a-leafs for a 2wd...

I'm doing more searches for anybody who does.

I might have to get a 4in block after all.

Those leafs in the above post will fit your truck if your leafs are 2.5" wide, which they should be. I have installed several sets of these on 4x4 and 2wd never had a problem. if you ubolts have 3/4" of thread left you can reuse them or opt for new bolts. if you do go with a 4" block which isn't recomended you should get tractions bars to prevent axle wrap. $$ Your best choice is the procomp leafs $42!!!

Yea thats what i just found out with pro comp. They said they dont offer an add-a-leaf for just 2wd, but they believe you wont have a problem with it, since their isnt much difference in the rear between 2wd and 4wd.

But fabtech said they have them available for 2wd, and i think their about the same price, so i may go with them since it says "FOR 2WD".
