traction bars

hi my bro has a ford lightning and raced it once since he has had it....we raced a trans am and practically gave that TA a 3 car head start on us because me and my bro didnt hook up worth a **** but we won after all cuz when we did hook up it was over any ways he was thinking about some traction bars ..would that b a good addon for this problem and if so any suggestions as to what kind he shuld buy ? thanx

Welcome ! You need to describe your vehicle in your signature or your profile to get accurate advice. If you're talking Gen 2 L's, Lakewoods are good bars on a budget, and LFPs or JLPs are highly recommended if cost isn't a concern. Traction bars don't eliminate all loss of traction, they prevent drivetrain damage from axle wrap/hop. Search the words "traction bar" in the Lightning area and you'll get pages of information, advice, and photos.
