Question need big lift info

I have a 97 f150 with a 3 inch body lift. I have 35/12.50s on 16x10 wheels. I plan on installing a suspension lift and i was wondering what is the biggest tire i can fit on it with a 4 inch lift or a 6 inch lift i am going to leave the body lift on it. I seen a picture of a guys truck on here i think his screen name was bigtruck311 or something like that he wrote in another thread he had 38/15.50s on it with the same rim and he said it rubed a little. I also seen a truck in the photo gally the man said he had a 4 inch suspension with a 3 body and he said he had 39/19.50s it think it just doesnt look possible. Any help would be appreciated.

39" Tires with a 3" Body and 4" Suspension lift I can't see working, I have a 98 with 3" Body and 6" Suspension running 38" Tires and had to trim several places in the front to stop the rubbing.

is it hard to trim them. were does it half to be trimed at. is it like really noticable? did you tighten the torsion bars because mine i half way tightened would that be able to clear that 38/15.50with no trimming.

Also what about the 4 inch with a 3 body. what size tire will that fit maybe a 38/13.50 or a 37/15.50

The trimming is not noticable at all if done right, my torsion bars remain at the stock position for safety and ride. I have a Fabtec 6" suspension lift and 3" body lift with 38 x 15.5 Super Swampers on 16 X 10 Rims, that's all that is going to fit under there without more lift, had to add a leaf to the rear to get the truck level. You could crank the torsion bars but I think your asking for trouble down the road by doing that. My truck rides awesome on the highway and in the city, had to re-gear the truck as well to turn the tires. All in all I spent a pile of money and not even close to finishing it, still looking for ladder bars to fit a 98, Fabtec only makes them for 99 and up so I have a few leads I am following up on. Also added a Superlift computer to recalibrate the spedometer. Once you start there are so many options and you will never be finished, atleast I know I won't. I need a winch, Roll Bar, Supercharger, and I am looking at getting new leaf springs made to remove the Fabtec Lift Blocks from the rear. The list goes on and on.

i trimed the valence under the bumper does the back side of the fender get trimmed like against the body. and what about he tires what will get the most road miles do you know. The guy from super swamper said the the tsl ssr radials would get the most milage because it has the closer tread pattern. HE said it should get about 35k on them thats stayin on pavement all the time and rotating them and no crazy burnout ar anything

does any one have any info on a 4 inch suspension with a 3 body like what size tires can i fit

Yes I had to trim front and back of the wheel wells. I have the new Swamper Radials as well but only about 1000 KM on them so I don't know how the wear will be yet. Lighting the tires up would be bad since they grip pretty good and would most likely rip the axel out of the truck with the gears I have in there.

to fit my 38 by 15.5 i had to do alot torsoin bars are cranced all the way and got a 6" with a 3" body with add aleafs for 2" more in the rear fitting this big a tire you will have to cut off a peice of your lower controll arm the little nub that sticks out with a sawzall i will post some pics latter and you will also have to custom make a bracket or just ziptie your e brake cable so it wont rub on the driverside rear tire but it will fit even after all this you will have to trim the front valence and cut some of the rear body behind the rear of the front fenerweels and drill new holes to hold the fenerwell back some after all this it will not rub during city driving but will rub alittle durring offroading at angles with whells turned all the way

here are those pics of the cutting you will need to do to the lower controll arm to fit a 15.5 wide tire on a 10" rim
