I've read way too much bad stuff about body lifts. I've never lifted a truck so I don't know first hand. From doing my homework... the full suspension is the best option. It costs allot more, but that is expected.

Thanks....

Rich, while looking on line for rims, I found a couple places that sell Weld Evo Ando LT's in a 17" version with only 5.5" backspace. Even the Weld site doesn't offer these. Do you know if they are new or discontinued (or not real Welds)?

Also, is your Revtek spacer like a Daystar (need to compress spring) or an Autospring (easier installation)?

As far as lifts go, I've had both types on several vehicles and in many cases both on the same vehicle. Some people prefer suspension lifts, others the body lift. If a body lift is put on correctly and professionally, you wouldn't have any issues with it. You must get the gap guards though or you get nasty looking gaps. Just my opinion though.

I called Weld Directly...

I called Weld and spoke to them about my situation. I looked to see if they offered any other wheel that would fix or help my situation. I do not recall them saying anything about 17" wheels. Maybe cause the truck comes stock with 18". What I've done is ordered four 1.5" wheel adaptors. These bolt on to the existing studs and you actually both the wheel onto the new studs on the adaptor. I've done allot of homework and these wheel adaptors are just as strong as the stock. They bolt on so their actually past of the truck where as a spacer simply takes up some space. The adaptors I ordered are wheel and hub centric. Not exactly sure what that is, but was told it was very important. I guess it makes for a smoother ride. It cost me $85.00 a piece and I should have them around Tuesday. I have an appointment for the Rancho 4" suspension kit Wednesday. Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to pay for all these toys!!

Thanks....

Last thing.... take a good long look at the Toyo Open Country M/T Tires. They rock and are smooth and quiet. Prior to these tires I was BFG AT's all the way.... but now I'm a true Toyo man.

dkm2.......

I found these wheel after buying my Weld Wheels. I love my Welds, but Zinik makes some killer looking wheels as well. I don't think the Zinik have the backspacing problem. Check them out.

Those are pretty nice, but kinda hooked on your rims after seeing your pics. I found two different places that offer the Weld Evo Andro LT in a 17" size and for only about $350 each. I've ordered a leveling kit already. Might just do without a lift for a bit, or get a body lift. Thanks. Let me know how the adaptors work.

I think you got a super deal Rich. If I see them at that price I'll probably get them and just live with a body lift. I'm still looking for a different rim that is just as nice but w/o the backspacing issues. Just not having any luck. Wish you hadn't posted your pics
