Question 2" drop shackles

I have a question. I have a 97 f150 4x2 and am thinking about putting on 2" drop shackles to level it out. My concern is if I will need new shocks, and I do haul stuff on occasion. How much wieght will cause the back to sag, and if not a lot does would it be better to go with a 1.5" drop shackle instead. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How much weight and how often? I put a 2 inch drop on mine and I still have 5 inches above the tire.

I usually tow about 100 lbs. mostly everyday. But on occasion I will haul some furniture to total about 500 lbs. but that is only once every 3 or 4 months.

Someone might say different, but you should be alright with what you currently have. That is not a whole lot of weight.

Thanks for the info guys. Are there any problems I should know about before I get these. And is there anything special I need to do to install these.

How did it work out? What shackles did you go with? did you have any pinion angle problems?
