4WD suspension

What is all on the 4WD suspension that is different than my 2WD suspension. I just added the 18" FX4 rims today and it filled in more wheel well space...I want the 4x4 look...Im going to lift the front but I want to add the 4wd suspension if possible to lift it more. Thanks

Oh, never mind, I see you got 18" FX4 rims so you must have an 04 or 05. On these model trucks, they essentially use the same type of suspension setup, but I don't think you could adapt the 4wd suspension to the 2wd (not 100% sure, but I think I'm right). This would also be a very expensive thing to do as well, if it is possible. I would recommend lifting the truck with coil spring spacers if you want a small lift, or an aftermarket system, such as a fabtech lift, if you want a taller lift.

I have an 04 XLT 4x2. I am going to put on the 2" autosprings I bought from ebay but I still wanted a littlre more lift. I was reading about the body lift..it seems people like it. But Id ont have much money since I bought my new rims and tires.

Just get one of the Autospring leveling kits or trade it in for a 4x4. Either one is easier than doing a suspension transplant unless you're highly skilled or filthy rich.

Body lifts are pretty inexpensive to purchase. However, they cost a lot to have installed because they take so long. I believe a body lift for an 04 is over $200, which is expensive for a body lift. If you can install it yourself, it's a great way for an inexpensive lift.
