Snow plow.

I'm going to a snow plow put on my F-150, its a 2004 Heritage,
I have read here and be told that I can turn the torsion bars a bit to get a 1in or 2in of left in the front, what is the right way to do this so I don't break any thing.
thanks

i put a plow on my 2001 supercrew and opted to put in the timbren load boosters in instead of cranking the torsion bars. it works good.

A word of caution here on plowing with ANY 1/2 ton pickup. None of them are really built to do any even medium serious plowing. If all you're doing is your driveway - and you take the plow off when you're not using it - you might be OK. The wear and tear that a plow puts on front end and drivetrain components is pretty serious. I drive an F-150, but I plow with an F-350 and wouldn't do it any other way. Good luck!
