steering stabilizer/damper & tire question
*Note: Sorry for posting this in two locations... it seems my question covers two topics...
So here is the situation... I have a 2002 f150 truck, lifted with a 6" fabtech system, running on some 35" wrangler mt/r's. The tires already had about 12,000 miles on them, and after putting 4,000 miles on them, my fronts buzzed almost flat. So yeah, I had an alignment problem, and yes, I did have the truck aligned after having the new tires installed.
With that said, I've decided to just replace all 4 tires with a less aggressive tread. I'm a college student who does a lot of commuting, so the only reason why I need a good tread pattern is for trips up to the snow (snowboarding) and the occasional mudding. After doing some research, it seems the BFG all-terrain t/a ko tires would be the best. .... any comments?
Also, I would like to add a steering stabilizer to smooth out the ride and to possibly prevent any alignment problems in the future. Any suggested companies? I'll be replacing my suspension with some bilstein 5125 shocks in the future, so I called them up to see if they make any steering stabilizer shocks...which they don't. So I scratch my head, and leave the question to you guys
. Of course rancho popped into my head, but that could be just because of good advertising.

Patrick,
If you put only 4000k on the tires and they were ruined then your alignment people need to be shot. Have the front end components properly inspected. Didn't you feel anything while drivin? A steering stabilizer will not cure worn out parts.
You will find the AT lacking in all but the smallest mud pit. The treads pack up real quick and become slicks. You will realize this real quick when you try to go where you used to with the muds. In all fairness to them, they are an excellent rain, snow and sand tire.
