Newby Question

Just picked up a 2003 F-150 SCrew 4x4 King Ranch. Love the truck but I keep seeing other F-150s with "FX4 Off Road" and wondering what is the difference between 4x4 and "FX4?"

Thanks

I beleve on the 03's the main differences were th rancho shocks, the special 17" rims, standard limited slip differential, and heaver skid plates that were exclusive for the FX4. I really don't think you missed out on too much not getting an FX4. Just my $.02.

The truck packages are:

XL (Work)
STX
XLT (Most Popular)
FX4
Lariat (Luxury)

I'm not to familar with the FX4, but from what I know and understand it came out in 2002 and is basically a Sporty yet luxurious F-150. Just a more luxurious version of the XLT. Not sure on the details though.
