Angry what kind of shocks do i need?

ok i hope someone can help me. i have a 98 2wd f150 extended cab xlt with a 4.6 V8. i bought with a doetsch 6" lift with the double shock hoop welded to the frame, i have already broken the welds on the frame twice, i am trying to do away with the shock hoops and install shocks in the stock location. i got a set of bilsteins that were supposed to be for the setup of my truck but when i tried to install them they were about 2 inches too short, the off road shop where i live can't seem to help me get the shocks that i need. has anyone else ever had this problem?

First, Doetsch does not make lifts - they only make shocks. Second, you could not pay me enough to run Doetsch shocks because of their internal valving. Try to find which lift is actually installed on your truck, then talk to the manufacturer about shocks. I know that Fabtech makes a 6" lift - even if the kit is not theirs, they may be able to help with finding shocks that will fit. Forget Bilstien - they don't have one that fits with a 6" lift.
