Jacking points
Jacking points
Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes...I know the correct jacking points for 4x4 trucks are in between the u-bolts on the rear axle, and in the front on the lower control arm at the notch. My question is where can I safely place jacks stands under the truck one I have it off the ground? Any place on the frame??
When I tried to place my truck on jack stands, the inside edge of the frame rail bent slightly upward, but seemed to not have any damage after I lifted the truck back off of it. I didn't leave it there long and instead just changed the shocks with it on the ground. Gotta love huge wheel wells. Is a little bit of bending on the inside edge of the rail normal, or were the jack stands just not designed right for the truck? They had a two tier Y shaped top.
