Screechin
I just purchased my 2001 F-150 In March with 43,600 miles on it. About 2 months after purchase, the drivers side front began screechin on bumps in the road. It got to when I climb in, it makes a little squeek, and when you turn the wheel, it sounds like a screeching door, but only about a 1/4" to 1/2" turn, then it is gone (no noise IN the turn on a bump, like a driveway). A freind recommended spraying WD-40 (or the like) around the bushings in the suspension, which I did, and within a week, it was fine. Until now again, 2 months later, it is doing it again, but not going away this time.
Handling is fine (no rattling and alignment seems okay...) so it doesn't SEEM to be a ball joint.
I suppose I will have to take it in, but since this is my first F-150, thought I would see if any of you experts have heard of this, and can assure me it is nothing too bad...I was hoping it is just dry bushings...
Thanks!

see if you can push on the front to make it go up and down to make the sound, if not jack up the front end and grab the tire at 9 and 3 oclock and move back and forth see if there is any play ar noise
Had Firestone look at it, found out greaseable Ball Joints installed before but never greased!
Greased it and squeak gone!
Does that make since that a garage would not grease it after installing???!! Previous owner from Canada...
crazy
