2" Coil Lift R & R Info. Needed....
I bought a Moog 2" Coil Lift from NAPA today with NAPA Gas Shocks for my 2000 F150 Supercab. I need the steps on removing the coils. Will I need a concentric cam bolt for alignment since I am raising the front 2"? If so, tell me the degree cam to buy.
Thanks,
Jeff
Thanks,

I used the NAPA cam bolt kit. No problems aligning with a 1.5in lift.
The easiest way to r&r the coilsprings (alignment required):
-Jack up truck and put on stands (as high as possible)
-rem both front wheels
-unbolt front swaybar from both sides and swing out of the way
-unbolt brakeline clip from bottom A arm
-rem shock (jack under bottom A arm to make this easier)
-put jack as far outside as possible under bottom A arm and relieve weight
-rem top A arm bolts
-lower jack until A arm is all the way down, watch out for brakeline
-pull out coil spring
-install new coil spring, make sure you align to the holes
-jack up bottom A arm until top A arm lines up with cam bolt holes, watch for the coil spring popping out
-install new cam bolts (best guess on alignment)
-remove jack
-install brakeline clip and shock do NOT reinstall swaybar
Do other side. Then install swaybar. Takes about 4 hours the first time. You will need large (up to 21mm) metric wrenches and sockets

Thanks for the detailed information on spring R and R. If these 2" springs don't work, I guess I'll be kicking myself for not taking you up on your pepsi case offer.

Installed the 2" lift coils and the truck looks great up high. The ride is like riding in a dump truck. Plus, the upper control arms are hitting at its' stop and the ball joints are hitting the springs. I guess I'm disappointed. I woulda coulda shoulda bought from fabtech.
Well, tomorrows were made for fixing the previous day's mess ups. I'm going back to OEM springs.

Hey, if you have the Diet Pepsi, I still have the springs. They go into the trash in mid December anyway.
The ride with the Eibach springs wasn't that different from OEM. The small stuff felt a little rougher but the big bumps smoothed out.
Have fun.

Wasn't too bad R & R springs second time around. It took me 2 hours plus 1 hour installing shocks. I've decided to save over the next couple of months for the 3" spindles on EBAY for $350 with shipping. Looking at alot of the posts in this forum, I feel that this is the way to go. Don't waste your time with the 2" springs. I think that any lift spring you use will adversely affect the A-arm and balljoint clearance on extended travel. There just isn't enough travel once you raise the OEM setup 1 or 2 inches. Go with the spindles.
My 0.02 cents.
